Solitaire River
Inspired by Zachtronics, I decided to have a go at making my own solitaire game. It's played using standard deck of cards. The color palette is mimicking traditional printing techniques, as it only uses two colors (orange and blue) and a mix of them (and the color of the paper). The deck designed for the game shows animals from Polish fauna:
- Hearths (carnivore/omnivore mammals)
- Brown bear
- Lynx
- Polecat
- Diamonds (herbivore mammals)
- Red deer
- Beaver
- Hedgehog
- Spades (land birds)
- Raven
- Crow
- Blackbird
- Clubs (water birds)
- Black stork
- Grey heron
- Ruff
Patch notes:
- Added animation indicating why a move can't be done, when trying to make an invalid move
- Double-clicking will skip the deck dealing animation

The faces are so beautiful 😊
i love this conceptually, but most game states are unsolvable. i'd suggest that when none of the center slots are occupied, the player should be able to move any number of cards across the river
I agree some warning on impossible game states would be nice, but I suspect that is a lot of work. As for the move limit, I think its interesting and adds to the difficulty. I just wish it was clearer that you cant move over the river because you have too many cards in your stack.
Incredible, and so smooth.
